Iced Matcha Tea 

Ingredients:

 

       3 grams of matcha powder (about 1.5 teaspoons)

       

       30 mL of warm water

       (about 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon)

       

       150 mL of cold or room temperature water

       (about 2/3 cup)

       

        Ice cubes

 

Equipment:

 

       Matcha Bowl

       Bamboo Whisk or electric milk frother

       Tea Scoop / Teaspoon

     

 

Instructions:

 

1.    Sift the Matcha:

           Put 3 grams (about 1.5 teaspoons) of matcha                      powder through a fine sieve into the bowl to get                rid of any lumps.

 

2.  Activate your Matcha :

          Pour 30 mL (about 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon) of             warm water into the bowl with the matcha powder.

          Whisk quickly until the matcha forms a thick paste.

3.    Add Cold Water:

           Pour 150 mL (about 2/3 cup) of cold or room                  temperature water into the bowl with the matcha                paste.

 

4.    Whisk the Matcha:

             Whisk the matcha and water mixture quickly in a              W or M shape until it is fully mixed and a bit                    frothy. This should take about 15-20 seconds.

5.    Prepare Your Glass:

           Fill a glass with ice cubes.

    

6.    Combine and Serve:

           Pour the matcha mixture over the ice in the glass.

    

7.    Enjoy:

           Stir gently and enjoy your refreshing matcha iced              tea right away.
